the beach: a professor's assistant meets a friendly girl from another region who had a package for the professor. she smiles at him, and greets him with a two-handed wave. from there she, too, volunteers to help, to meet all the pokemon sinnoh has. sandgem beach was their beginning, and it feels like home. always and forever, their comfort is each other. for no matter what time and space can throw at them, they will grasp the other's hands, and see their own lives, and the lives of their friends, through it.

battles. day in. day out. rivals since childhood. and yet never could she beat him. close calls, constantly. the rush of the train propels them forward, and they stay balanced in this livelihood. they love it. these battles. more than anything. and she knows they'll always be there for her. the battles. that home. from a life being dumped off on athletes that pitied her, to becoming a queenpin, they accept her for who she is, as she does her. until one day, he vanishes, and she realizes what's missing.

three puppies on her trail, and curiosity in her eyes, in home ec class she meets a boy on a mission to find 5 mythical ingredients hidden across paldea, a region she has lived in her whole life, but never seen the expanse of. while both are not very skilled at battles, they find themselves on a journey facing mountains they have to scale, and within the valleys, they find a very precious treasure -- the greatest one they could.

a totally not-angel, definitely demon overlord of a certain giant netherworld catches the attention of a dumbass postmaster moth who may or may not take inspiration from moth man. or be moth man. who knows. from there the story of revenge and learning that all demons are not total monsters and care a lot about their jobs is a go! it's clown-to-clown conversation joined by a whole army!

a sailor, who had become a captain in gradual silence, comes to bear a curse. in exchange for being saved from the locker at the bottom of the sea and for the ability to swim, she loses her voice. her sea-leges become fins once submerged in water. on the beach, she lives quietly, a turnip mounted upon her head as a security helmet. to keep dry, to express herself in exaggeration. with a chirp-chirp she paces through a helpful routine to the folks of rigbarth, and soon a blacksmith's apprentice's eye she catches with these actions of hers -- or is it him that's a sailor saved by a sea-witch bares a curse. in exchange for being able to swim, she loses her voice. her sea-legs become fins in water. on the beach she lives, quietly, a turnip mounted on her head as a helmet, security from the rain. and a blacksmith's apprentice's eye she catches with her actions -- or is it him that's hooked her?

she fell from the sky. she crashed into her new family from the sky with nothing but a name, a voice, a body... and a cutely determined smile. he wasn't one to hand off his work to someone else but he, he could trust her, right? the one who seemed to make the land itself happy through her sheer will. maybe he could trust her, this lady unbound by her past with a pressing sense of duty that drove her forward. and he quite likes her, enjoys how she is. and that soon blooms, much like the charm blues he saw her carrying. she runs up to him, waving a pair of glasses she forged. it's not as though she stubbles forward, it's the skip in her in step as she hurries toward him and tells him that she just had to show him first. it makes his heart stop ever briefly. what a incredible princess.

she's simple, he tells himself, easy to read, but there must be something about her that convinced judith of all people to put stock in her. he asks if she was told to keep an "eye on him" and she answers, without hesitation, "i was told to watch out for you!" from then on, she goes from solely being trusting to gaining his trust, by sheer pressing on, by sheer belief in that, if she works hard enough, she'll achieve her dreams. "an ending is just a beginning," she rallies. as he finds watching out for how often she dives head-first and ahead of her own thoughts... there's just something inspiring about the whole affair, isn't there?
koby + lyria (one piece)
a girl with butterfly-like wings stares at him, curiosity dancing in her gaze. there's something otherworldly about her, and these thoughts of his are overwhelming as she steps closer to him. it's an innocent approach, a small ask for help. it leads to more. she has a place she can call "home", but her true origin is a myth, so he investigates. even her own past forgot about her, the young marine realizes. but even still, she flutters on, and he is charmed. as is she - his honesty and vibrancy, she can't look away.
